Big Guns Promotions in
conjunction with VMacs Sports Bar enjoyed a successful
first Spark Plug Sunday this past weekend. The weather
was hot, the beverages were cold and everyone was
looking for shade! Car dealers which included
Mitsubishi, Honda, Mercedes, Suzuki, Citroen, Chery,Kia,
Dihatsu, Proton and Ssangyong set up their cars and
display stands. Visitors were entertained by DJ Colin
of Sound Barrier and the band DV8 with good rock music.
The children enjoyed the intriguing jumping castle
whilst their parents sat back and enjoyed the music.
Many bikers converged
on VMacs Sports Bar after their Sunday morning rides to
enjoy the displays, the music and the food on offer -
hamburgers, hot dogs, boerie rolls, schwarmas and
pancakes. Those with enough energy headed down
into the VMacs Arena for a fun game of paintball.
The charity of the day
was SPCA whom we all know are in constant need of funds,
food and the public rather going to the SPCA to look for
a new pet for the family. “Biggles”, an even tempered
magnificent Great Dane who is the SPCA mascot, was there
to receive his fair share of oohs and aahs together with
Manageress Jenny of Amanzimtoti SPCA. All were able to
purchase specially embroidered “Spark Plug Sunday SPCA
SOS Run 2008” badges at R30 each with the proceeds going
to SPCA.
Watch this space for
the date of the next Spark Plug Sunday event … it
promises to be even better than this first event. Craig
and Nick of Big Guns Promotions and John Mc of VMacs
Sports Bar thank everyone who supported the SPCA and
this event.
